5 Minute Creamy Whole30 Ranch
Easy 5 minute creamy ranch sauce is dairy free, whole30, paleo, and easy to make! Perfect for drizzling on salads, dipping with veggies, or adding to burritos and sandwiches.
There really are endless possibilities with this creamy whole30 ranch! I love putting it in paleo wraps, on my hamburgers, and on anything with veggies.
easy whole30 ranch
This easy ranch sauce only takes 5 minutes to whip up.
Everything simply goes in the food processor and gets blended up (and if you know me, this is my favorite kind of recipe!).
I love dipping my veggie sticks into this whole30 ranch. My recipe for extra crispy sweet potato fries are also DELICIOUS dipped in this too!
Don’t you just want to dive into that creamy sauce? It’s like when I was a kid and my siblings and I would chat at night about food world; where everything is edible.
The clouds were marshmallows, the houses were candy bars (mainly chocolate), and the ocean was layers of juice, chocolate sauce, and jello.
But wouldn’t it be cool is the ocean was a big pool of this stuff!?? I mean, you could grab your cucumber surf board and hit the ranchy waves 🙂
So who’s ready to eat? Grab your food processor, your carrot sticks, and don’t forget to make some extra crispy sweet potato fries!

How is this whole30 approved when it contains mayo??
Just use a whole30 approved recipe like this one: http://cassidyscraveablecreations.com/2015/11/easy-homemade-mayonnaise-paleo-whole30-dairy-free.html
If you use paleo mayo it is
I have used this recipe twice so far and love it! I used dried herbs both times and it turned out perfectly. It gets better as it sits and the flavors meld together, but I like it the night I make it too. Thank you so much for this quick, easy, and delicious recipe! It has made my Whole30 a little easier.
Hi Carrie, good to hear! Thank you!
how long will this stay good in the fridge?
Hi Mallory, I am not exactly sure, because it doesn’t last very long in my fridge… before it gets eaten. But I bet you could store it for 2-3 weeks.
Hello I was wondering if there is something I could use other then the lemon juice? We are allergic to citric… maybe vinegar…?
Yes, vinegar will work- I might use a bit less than I would lemon.
How much is one serving?
1 Tablespoon is one serving.
This was the best ranch I’ve ever had in my life. I followed the recipe to a T & used whole 30 compliant mayo. Thank you. 🙂
So good to hear! Thank you 🙂
Do you know what the calorie count is per serving?
Hi Edie, it’s 88 calories per serving- the nutritional info is at the bottom of each recipe 🙂
I made this dressing with a combo of fresh and dries herbs with some ho.emade mayo. My mayo had lime instead of lemon and it still made great dressing. Thanks for the tips.
How long does it keep in the fridge? Could you freeze it?
Hi Jenna, I don’t know that I would freeze it… but it can last in the fridge for 1-2 weeks.
My sister in law and I regularly make this sauce in multiple batches and we freeze it. It’s perfect when we take it out and baste the chicken with it. So yummy!!
What if you don’t have a food processor? Can you make it without?
Yes, totally- you can mix by hand or in a blender.
I JUST made this and it tasted EXACTLY like regular ol’ ranch! I added some lite coconut milk to thin it out a bit, but I loved the addition of lemon zest so much – it makes such a difference. By far my favorite dairy-free ranch recipe to date !
Hi Kaylie,
Can you use Greek yogurt instead of Paleo mayonnaise?
Totally! 🙂
What food processor do you recommend?
This one Kate, I love it and use it every day! 🙂
I made this on a whim today and it came out VERY lemony! I started second guessing myself so I went back and double checked all my measurements and they were all correct. Is it supposed to taste that way? I have never had ranch that was lemony tasting. I even added almost another 1/2 cup of mayo. 🙁
Hi Kimberly, my family and I reaaally like lemon, so our lemon-meter is probably way off, haha. I eat the lemon fruit whole, so feel free to reduce to your taste. 🙂 Sorry it was too strong for you!
Mine turned green? I’m also not sure about the flavor. What did I do wrong, if everyone else is raving about it??
I Sarah, it was probably from mixing too much in the blender. Also, if you had really big cloves of garlic, sometimes that can be overpowering. Hope that helps!
This recipe is amazing. I went heavier on the Garlic, the herbs and lemon juice/zest. I also just stirred it with a spoon until it was smooth (a minute or two), rather than blender. After sitting in the fridge for 15 min, it had a consistency and flavor closer to tzatziki when we did it this way. We spread it on burgers and dipped our roasted potatoes.
Our mayo we made with avocado oil and a whole egg, and went aggressive on the lemon for freshness if that’s helpful for anyone.
My non-mayo eating husband (like… he gags normally) is a fan. It definitely has very, very strong flavoring this way, so a little goes a long way for a tasty condiment.
What is the serving size? The nutritional facts are per serving but does not say how many servings it makes or the size of the serving. I apologize if I missed it.
It’s a tablespoon. 🙂
I didn’t have parsley so used cilantro instead and lime juice rather than lemon. Was very good dip for veggies and will use as a dressing for taco salad.
Hi! This looks amazing! Wondering if there’s an ingredient missing from the recipe list? In the picture it looks like there’s another white cream (other than the mayo) in the food processor. Many thanks!
Hi Gillian, I have updated there recipe since the original post- which was 1/2 part canned full fat coconut milk and other part mayo. 🙂 Either way will work!
Never mind! I see it now! Thanks.
Can you substitute buttermilk for the mayo?
I have never cooked with buttermilk, so I cannot really say… Sorry!
