I love greek food. And I love you, my readers.
So, it’s only fair that I share the things I love most in life with you. And these burgers is where it’s at.
I’m talking finger-licking-good-food here.
My first Greek food encounter was through a food truck on the streets of Portland, brimming with gyros and spanakopita.
The cucumber sauce dripped down my hands from bite after bite from that amazing gyro.
Instantly, I knew deep-down that somehow, I must be Greek.
And now, I must make my own Greek food at home, because I live too far from Portland and have a thing for homemade turkey burgers.
mint sauce has us all raving!
Have you ever tried minty green sauce? Um, well you need it.
There is something deeply enlightening about mint in this avocado sauce. It’s delightful, refreshing, and perfectly unexpected.
One sauce wasn’t enough, so of course, I added two!
There’s no end to ways I’m using these sauces. It’s ending up on all my carrot sticks this week, on all my salads, and even gracing the ends of my apple slices.
Yup, I’m hooked.
You know those freezer-fresh toaster burgers that you pop in the oven for a few minutes to reheat?
The kind of homemade burgers that are an emergency go-to for Monday night dinners after a long day?
Well, you won’t want to go back to your toaster popping burgers days after you’ve had one of these.
It’s the messiest, most satisfying experience, diving face-first into this pile of greek food.
Layers of minty herb sauces, fresh arugula and sprouts, tomatoes, olives, and flavor packed turkey burgers will meet you face-to-face and straight up get you hooked on this whole bun-less burger thing.
Don’t say I didn’t warn ya!
First, there were these chili lime avocado burgers.
Then the great spicy grilled avocado chicken burgers of 2017.
After that we moved into a more breakfast-burger phase, with these herb-packed rosemary sage turkey sausage patties.
And now, after many burger glories, we have what I probably deem my mostest favorite: the Greek turkey burger.

Hi Kaylie, is the nutritional information just for the one burger or with the sauces also? Thanks,
Hi Gemma, it’s for everything for 1 burger. 🙂
Do you really cook the turkey for an hour?
Hi Jami, yes- since they are burgers they cooked really slow, vs. if you were cooking meatballs or something like that. You can adjust it to your needs though, if you oven cooks at a different temp. Thanks!
Do you cook the portobello mushroom bun or leave it raw?
Hi Sarah, I leave it raw, because I really like raw veg, but it’s up to your personal taste. 🙂
Hi Kaylie, I made these last night and they were well cooked after 35 mins!
