Protein Snack Balls
Low calorie snack balls made with nut butter and coated in a chocolate shell. An easy paleo snack for on the go! Perfect healthy snack or breakfast for kids and busy families.
The sun finally came out this week and I feel like a freakin new person!
I have been feeling like I’ve been living under a cloud and suffering from some serious vitamin D deficiency.
Anybody else?
Chocolate and a little sun is always the cure.
I spent the last couple of days on skies, with the family, and enjoying all the sun and chocolate protein balls!
how to make nut butter protein balls
All you need is a handful of ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen and you’re good to go!
Who else loves healthy recipes that are ready in minutes?
Because this killer chocolate + nut butter snack is perfect for me.
You can use any healthy protein powder in this recipe (I used Gainful Protein Powder).
I prefer to use a protein powder that has no dairy or grains; opting for something plant based and naturally sweetened.
Feel free to mix and match this recipe with different nut butters to make your own personal blend.
My favorites are peanut butter, cashew butter, and almond butter.
But if you are into tahini or pumpkin seed butter, feel free to go a little crazy… and let me know how it goes!
Enjoy these easy snacking bites and cheers to starting the new year off right!
- 1 cup peanut butter or other nut butter
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup protein powder of choice

LOOKING FOR SUGGESTIONS FOR PROTEIN POWDER. I HAVE THE VITAL PROTEINS BEEF COLALGEN…CAN I USE THAT?
Hi Susan, yes, that could work- the flavor will probably be different.
Hi, can you suggest any substitute for the protein powder ?
Hi Ola, you could sub for almond flour. 🙂
