Paleo Dinner Rolls
Homemade dinner rolls made with almond flour. These healthier paleo bread rolls are so easy to make and have no yeast! It’s an easy gluten free bread recipe that the whole family will love. Perfect for serving with soup for dinner or with eggs for breakfast.
I’ve really been enjoying these dinner rolls lately.
They are light, but filling.
Nutty and soft.
Easy to make and oh so perfect paired with a spread of butter or lightly salted coconut oil.
I made an easy egg sandwich with these rolls this morning… comes highly recommended!
all the dinner rolls!
Never enough bread rolls around here.
I don’t know if it’s been because of the winter weather, or just because I flat out am craving bread…
But this month has had me craving all the bready things- see feed for all the baked goods (there are a LOT!).
I have been keeping a stash of these healthy dinner rolls in my freezer, kept fresh in these stasher bags.
When dinner rolls around (he he, see what I did there… rolls around?? okay, enough already!) I just pull out a handful of rolls, heat them up in the toaster oven, and we are ready to eat!
I have just started working on a very special project that will be revealed in the future days…
But since that has been sucking up a lot of my time and energy, it’s been baking therapy for me!
All the chocolate fudge, carrot muffins, and fluffy paleo pancakes are keeping me cozy and sane around here. 🙂
Well, it’s time to bake, I think. 🙂
Enjoy!

Any suggestions for someone who is GF but cant eat almonds? I struggle with a fair few cake recipes etc too as so often they include almond flour. Chestnut flour perhaps but might be too dry? Ground hazelnuts? Or could I give oat flour a go?
Hi Bella, Bob’s Red Mill has hazelnut flour that will work in place of almond flour in this recipe. Enjoy!
Hello! These look delicious and I love the short ingredients list. Any recommendations for subbing out the applesauce? I’m on a SIBO protocol and apples are a no- no. Thanks so much
Hi Alexandra, you might be able to sub applesauce for almond butter?
Is the husk powder a necessary ingredient for texture?
Hi Kristen, yes- it holds them together and creates the best texture for these rolls.
Any good substitutes for the psyllium husk?
Hi Jenny, I haven’t ever subbed it for anything before- I don’t know of a good sub. Sorry!
Is the coconut oil an ingredient in the rolls or only for greasing the dish? Sorry, having a moment of self doubt!
The coconut oil is for in the roll dough. 🙂
Can you substitute the coconut oil in the rolls with butter? All I can taste is the coconut oil and not the rolls. Thx! Michael
Hi Michael, yes- butter will work great!
What brand of husk powder do you recommend? The link to buy is not working for me. Thanks
Hi Manina, I bought Now Foods brand last time. 🙂
Could you use flaxseed or arrowroot powder instead of the psyllium husk powder?
Hi Alison, psyllium husk really helps to make the rolls fluffy, so it wouldn’t turn out the same with arrowroot or flax unfortunately.
