Two hours at 350 degrees? That just seems like it would dry out the chicken legs. I could maybe see a lower temp for 2 hours….!?!?!?
Hi there! I just tried this delicious recipe and had to comment after reading Deb’s comment. This recipe is absolutely delicious! I made sweet potato fries to go with, so we could dunk our chicken and fries in our delicious Whole30 ranch! Holy cats, this was one of my favorite dinners so far! Thank you so much for the recipe. Just so everyone knows it took about an hour and 15-20 minutes for chicken to cook at 350 degrees. Looking forward to trying more of your recipes!! 🙂
Hi Lisa, thank you for the sweet review! Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Holy Moly, these were delicious! I fried them in avocado oil first and then transferred to a 375* oven for 30 minutes because I didn’t realize they needed to bake for 2 hours. They were so tasty and crispy!
that’s a great idea!
Hi! Do you use drumsticks with skin on or off? Thanks!
I use with the skin drumsticks.
Can this recipe be modified to cook in an Instant Pot? Has anyone tried? If so, how long would yall recommend cooking it in the IP? Thanks!
Would love to know to convert this to Instant Pot/Oven combo. Thoughts?
Hmmm, love that idea Wendy, but I have never tried it and don’t own an instant pot to try it with. Let me know if you experiment!
I’m confused on the nutritional data- are we talking 6 Drumsticks as in the small ones you get when making wings? I’m thinking it would have to be because regular chicken drumsticks/legs have more meat and fat and would be a much higher calorie count than this. I have to track all my nutrients and want to make sure I’ve got this correct, thanks
Would this work for a breasts, thighs and wings?
Yes Sean, that would work!
Same temperature and time?
I would watch the cook time- it will probably be a bit different, but the temperature will be the same.
What’s the homemade ranch recipe??
Hi Hannah, here is the ranch recipe: https://paleoglutenfree.com/recipes/5-minute-creamy-whole30-ranch/ Enjoy!
Every time I have made this recipe, and it’s been a few, I first cook the chicken in the Instapot for about 15 minutes, then I season them and cook in the oven on a stone until crispy, about 15 minutes I think. That way the chicken doesn’t dry out and the overall cook time is much less. This is such a great meal, I love it!!
