Triple Fudge Coconut Flour Brownies
A must make decadent triple fudge coconut flour brownie recipe! Completely paleo and a healthy treat for everyone! Gluten eaters and healthy eaters alike will devour these rich chocolaty treats. Packed with loads of chocolate and nuts, these brownies are ready for the oven in only five minutes!
Just look at all that chocolate. Well, hello there. And YUM! Holy moly, I just can’t stay away from baking brownies. My feed lately has been crowded with brownie recipes! Legit. But, I don’t yet have a recipe loaded with loads and loads of chocolate and nuts yet. So, I felt like it was a plenty good enough excuse to pop into the kitchen for a quick (and chocolaty) bake! Consensus is: I’m more than glad I did.
triple chocolate overload!
Just a simple warning from one friend to another: these brownies will be devoured quickly! So, if you are planning on stashing away any for yourself, I suggest making an extra batch; ya know, just for the cook. π
The goods are made with cocoa, plus an extra dose of my personal fave, black cocoa. Black cocoa (or dutch processed cocoa) is cocoa powder that has had its acids stripped in processing. But what I really love it for is it’s nice and extra rich tone and ascetic. Yes, it’s really black!! I source mine from here.
As if two doses of chocolate weren’t enough, I loaded up the insides with chocolate chips and topped them off with generous drizzles of melted chocolate. Mmmmm…
I guess I should have called them quadruple chocolate brownies!!!
Today, I spent the day making more than just one chocolatey baked treat. Let’s just say, you will have a lot more paleo chocolate recipes in your future! Including, super fudgey banana zucchini bread (and yes, it’s paleo, of course! Yum!), and some more goods that I won’t give away just yet.
But, I will say, that if you hop on over to Instagram I bet you will snag a sneak peak on all that’s going down in the kitchen this week! It’s gonna be good.

Please add me to your email list. I just love your recipes! I’m trying to eat better because of an auto immune disease I have. Thank you so much!
Sounds good, I just added you π Thanks for following along and best of luck on your healthy eating journey!!
Will this recipe work in an 8×8 pan? Other than adjusting the baking time a bit, will they be too thin?
Yes, it will work with an 8″ by 8″ pan; the cooking time will need to be adjusted a few minutes less though. I am not sure exactly how long it will take to cook, so keep an eye on them and you will know they are done cooking when a knife when inserted comes out clean.
I would love you to add me to your email list. My daughter is having a lot of major health issues and I would love to have some healthy desserts for her to enjoy. Thanks!
Will do π
These areπππ
Kaylie, you have built a beautiful site. Inspiring & mouthwatering. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be healthier with all these recipes? Lovely photography & attention to detail! Thank you for sharing with the world, x
Thank you so much Inge!
Leaves look amazing, but of course egg is a no no for me. Can the egg be replaced with flax seed eggs?
Hi Nicole, you can definitely try using an egg replacement… I would be curious to see how they turn out! Keep me posted!
Kylie, thank you so much for these recipes it helps a lot. Can these brownies be made with Almond Flour instead of Coconut Flour? Carole
Hi Carole, almond flour will not work as a sub in this recipes unfortunately.
Hi Kaylie, thank you so much for these amazing recipes that you do and shares with us. I have an autoinmune disease and a this help me so much with my new food living style. Have a nice summer. ^^
Yay! So good to hear Maria, thanks for following along π
Are the nutrition facts given for the entire brownie pan or for each brownie ?
Each brownie.
These look amazing!!! I am diabetic and would need to swap out the honey for Lankato (monk sugar/erythritol combo). It looks and measures like real sugar. Any idea how much to use and if I would need a little gooeyness from somewhere else in the absence of honey? Thank you so much!
Hi Cristina, I would swap 1:1 and see how it goes.
Hi there
How could I make these lower in fat. 30 g seems very high as I am diabetic, eating lowfodmap for gastroparesis. Could I subs. The c chips ,pecans to 1 quarter cup and reduce oIL by half. And I was wondering if I could use almond flour since allergic to coconut. Or use my gf flour.
Thanks looks yummy!
Hi Laurie, you can for sure reduce the amount of chocolate chips and pecans, but the coconut flour cannot be subbed for almond, unfortunately.
Could I use more of regular cocoa powder in replacement of the black cocoa powder? Trying to use what I have in the pantry. Thanks!
Hi Mindi! Totally, that will work! π
Is there a good alternative for the honey?
I would use maple syrup in place of honey. π
Hi! I know, the whole point of this recipe is that it is a brownie-recipe – but I’m out of cocoa powder. Would this work if I just make them without the powder, and make chocolate-chip blondies instead? Thanks! The recipe sound really great, and I love your site!
Hmmm, great question! I don’t know.. I would have to give it a try- if you try this, let me know! I am interested to find out myself π
I never leave comments for anything I make… But this!!! This is so good, it’s bad!!!! I love this so much, it’s so devine and decadent. I only made it last night and it’s nearly gone. I also substituted choc chips for chopped up 90% dark chocolate. Thanks so much for this amazing recipe!!!
Thank you Crystal! π
Hi! Thank you for putting this recipe together. I made these brownies last night with coconut flour I made. The taste is delicious except they were super greasy. I think next time Iβll halve the coconut oil amount and I think theyβll be perfect.
We have the same name! lol but no E. Love your site! Very inspiring.. Keep up the good work. and add me to the email list please! π
Thank you, name buddy! π
Please add me to your mailing list.
Hi Simone, just added you! π
These brownies are VERY oily. I would recommended cutting the coconut oil in half. I also added almost double the amount of cocoa powder, though thatβs my personal preference. 6/10

Added you. π Thanks!
Just baked these yesterday. Because I keep my carbs low and I like treats not to sweet, I cut the honey in half but they were fudgey- Still delicious of course. Should I stay the course with the honey to assure true fudge awesomeness? Many thanks for these great recipes
Hi Shawna, yes the more honey will add to a moister fudgey brownie for sure. π
Made these and I’m addicted. My mom has Celiacs and she was SO happy to be able to eat these. Thank you for this recipe!
Yay!! Thanks! π
Amazing recipe. Love it!!!
Thank you Merlin!
I cooked them for 25 mins and they were already burned.
These look so delicious. I’m a brownie addict and love coconut too! Can’t wait to try these.
Thank you Travis!
I used xylitol instead of honey and hazlenuts instead of pecans. I would not recommend doing this. It made them very dry and just horrific. They made me want to quit my keto diet.
Hey – mine turned out amazing – great recipe. One Q, how do I store them if they have eggs in them?
Hi Jessica, I like storing them in the fridge or freezer.
Hi there:
I assume the coconut oil can be in Crisco-like consistency?
Can I use chopped walnuts?
The only sea salt I have is coarse. Should I use table salt?
And a REAL newbie question — I hope the 8×8 can be the dimension of the bottom of the pan? π
Hi Jay, yes- the coconut oil can be that way and you can use chopped walnuts. You can use coarse sea salt- unless it’s crystals. And yes- that is the size of the pan. π Enjoy! I’m glad you are venturing out and trying baking! Best of luck!
Kindly tell me the measurements for a 9X13 pan, I can’t wait to try this!
Hi Janine, you can add or subtract the amount of servings you would like to make for this recipe and the ingredients will adjust automatically. To do this, just change the number of servings you would like, at the left hand side of the recipe box where it says “servings”… you can enter/type in the amount you would like and it will calculate the ingredients needed. π Hope that helps!
These look amazing. Totally baking these today. Can you use cacao instead of cocoa powder?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Kellie, that should work. Enjoy!
reduced the oil a bit and substituted the choc chips with “lindt” sugar free chocolate worked well
hello! Is it at all possible to substitute vegetable oil if you don’t have quite enough coconut oil? I look forward to trying these!
Hi Kessla, that should work!
Hi these look great. I’d like to try them but not sure about your metric conversions they are very strange. Thanks for having conversions though. Is this bootstrapped?. Maybe ask them why they are so strange.
What is the issue you are running into? I will try and resolve it. Thank you!
Iβm making these as I type this but noticed thereβs no baking powder or soda in the recipe. These rise without either added?
Hi Rachel, no need for them in this recipe. π
Hi kaylie they look gorgeous i am excited to make them. Is it possible to use coco sugar instead of honey? And just add some more liquid?
Hi Catt, that sounds like it should work!
Hi these look fab! Was just wondering whether they’re 420 calories for each brownie or for the whole batch? And is there a way to lower the calories?
Hi Rania, it’s per brownie… You could leave out the chocolate chips and drizzle and chopped nuts. π
Really good! My 4 girls loved them 8, 6, 3 and 19 months.
Being a UK cook, Iβm afraid I have very little success baking using cup measurements.. I much prefer to weigh ingredients. Would it be possible to write your recipes with the ingredients in lbs and ozs or in metric grams? I use both, and it would make life so much easier for us UK cooks. Many thanks.
Hi Jane, all my recipes can be converted with the built in measurement converter in the recipe card where it says “US Imperial” just click that and select from there. π Happy cooking!
